First Class January

So we had 2 kids in class today, a brother and sister. Unfortunately our other student came down with something.

The young lady has been in our previous classes and choose to do a hair scrunchie. She got it 1/2 finished.

The young man learned to chain stitch after trying several different ways to wrap the yarn over the hook. He then started on learning double crochet for a beanie he is trying to make.

We did take a break in the middle of our 2 hour class today, seemed to help our concentration.

The kids liked using the Susan Bates crochet hooks better that the Boyle hooks. As they dropped less loops with the Susan Bates hooks.

Variegated yarn such as Red Heart, seems to be the most popular.
