Yule Hat


Liz needed a festive hat for the Christmas season, so I decided to help her out. Her co-worker and fellow bead artist made the awesome feathered and beaded tassel.

Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate
Hook Size: K
Yarn: Red Heart Heartland Joshua Tree, Red Heart Heartland Sequoia,
Red Heart Pelt Fisher
Stitches Used:  Single crochet

Row 1: Make 5 SC in a adjustable ring

Row 2: 1 SC in each ST around

Row 3: INC by 2 stitches one at center front and one  at back center, mark increase spot (I used two different french ear wires as markers)

~Row 4 & 5: REPEAT Row 2.~

** Row 6:  REPEAT Row 3.**

REPEAT ~ & ** until you have a total of approximately 60 stitches, about 58 rows

REPEAT Row 2, twice more

REPEAT Row 3, change position of the increases one to each side (instead of front and back)
SC approximately 16 to 23 rounds of SC,  NO  increases

Change yarn and add 10 rows of SC in pelt yarn with a matching yarn to end (use all of the pelt yarn)
