Four Leaf Clover Lariat

I decided to get a head start on my St. Patricks Day attire. Thirty four leaf clovers should bring me plenty of good luck.

Skill level:       Intermediate
Hook Size:       H
Yarn:               Caron, Christmas Glitter,
                        Worsted Weight, 4 ply
Stitches Used: Chain, Slip stitch, Double crochet

1st Petal:  ch3, dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in ring

2nd & 3rd Petal:  ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st in ring, repeat
                           
Finishing Clover:  tighten ring by pulling on tail,
                              sew tail into ring and trim

Twig:  ch 14

**1st Petal:  dc in 4th ch from hook
                 (thru the front of the stitch and under
                 2 strings), ch 3, sl st in ring

2nd Petal: ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st in ring

3rd Petal:  take twig and place on other side of the yarn,
                  ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st in ring (under 1 string)

4th Petal:  repeat

**Twig:  ch 14

**Repeat as many times as you want. I have 30 in mine.

End clover 1st Petal: dc in 4th ch from hook
                                   (thru the front of the stitch and under 1 string),
                                   ch 3, sl st in ring

2nd & 3rd Petal: ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st in ring, repeat,
                            sew tail into ring and trim
