Frogging Along
Update: Boy did I ever name this one correctly. I really have to learn not to start projects when I am tired. Did a little rewriting to try and make the project flow more smoothly and even out the finished product, fixed in instructions below.
PINK & GREY COWL
Hook size: N - 9 mm
Yarns: Caron Sayelle, Dark Grey, unfortunately no yardage noted
and Red Heart Super Saver, Shocking Pink, 364 yrds/333 m
Width: 7.5 inches
Length: 34 inches
Rows: 22 total
Ch 16 - for 7 clusters on Row 1
Row 1: DTC (skip ch 3, of cluster) start in 4th ch from hook,
ch 1, TTC in second ch st and repeat to the end of row
Row 2: ch 4, TTC in next ch space, * ch 1, TTC in next ch space *
repeat from *, tr (triple crotchet) into center of cluster, turn
Row 3: DTC in first chain space next to hook, * ch 1, TTC *
repeat from * to the end of row
REPEAT - Row 2 & Row three to desired length,
end on a Row 2 repeat and sew together.
Edge of Pink/Grey Cowl: I did a shell scallop on one edge only, 5 dc in each edge loop and a sc in each edge cluster around.

Just trying to reduce my yarn stash, by making a cowl out of some of the odds and ends.
I spent more time on frogging this pattern than I did crocheting it,
took me less than 1/2 a day to finish.
PURPLE & CREAM COWL
Hook size: N - 9 mm
Yarns: Sensations Glow Cream Boucle Wrap - 1/2 skein approx
and Sensations Casual Boucle Prpl/Dk Prpl - 1/2 skein approx.

DTC - Double Treble Cluster - 1 set of 3 ch and 2 trebles, worked as a cluster
Trebles are worked as follows: * Yarn over 2 times, insert hook into chain or in chain space
and bring through space, yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops on hook *,
repeat from * once more, yarn over hook and draw through 4 loops on hook, yarn over and
draw thru last 2 loops on hook.
TTC - Triple Treble Cluster - 3 trebles, worked as a cluster
Trebles are worked as follows: * Yarn over 2 times, insert hook into chain or in chain space
and bring through space, yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops on hook *,
repeat from * twice more, yarn over hook and draw through 6 loops on hook, yarn over and
draw thru last 2 loops on hook.
