Flap Cap

I used Vallieskids blog to make up this cute kids hat, pattern link below.

Skill level: Intermediate
Hook Size: I
Yarn: Red Heart, worsted, medium, #4
Stitches Used: Chain, Slip stitch, Single crochet, Double crochet

The only thing I did different is my single crochet around. I continued down from my ear flaps by chaining 30 stitches, on the returned I skipped 5 stitches and single crocheted my way back. This left me with a hole at the end of the straps to add fringe, 3 - 12" pieces per side.
